Here's one of my own. I know his colour isn't right but I made him before I got his daddy. I've been thinking of redoing him with a full body paint for a couple of years but I've been chastised enough for making him that I feel too guilty now. What is the prevailing attitude on the subject nowadays?

I remember when you first made him!!!    Personally I always adored him, and so I think he's perfect just the way he is.  ^-^  But if you want to give him a full body paint, I say go for it!  After all, he is *your* pony!

I like him in the darker colour...kind of like how many animal babies are darker in fur or feathers until they get older!

This is the only picture I have on this hard drive that even has one of the mountain boys in it... I'll try to get a better one later when I am in front of my ponies. I love the mountain boys, too. I just started collecting them, so I only have Sunburst and Ice Crystal so far.

My sole reason for getting Tornado (which took several tries on Ebay) is becuse i'm a storm spotter (might try for Thundercloud also someday). To complete the look I made him a Skywarn spotter hat (yes it's Slugger's. Don't worry the paint will come off with a fingernail).
When I go out spotting I take him with me with the hopes of getting him and a tornado in the same shot (been taking my G4 Rainbow Dash now too ). I came close last year when I got this pic' of him and a wall cloud with a developing funnel:
