The Musical Swap (Gauging Interest)

 Proposed Signup dates: August 20th - Sept 9th (Or 20 participants Whichever comes first)
Partners assigned September 11 (Or sooner if we fill up fast)
Proposed working time September 12 - December 12th
If enough people prefer, then September 12th to Jan 12th could work so there can be a long working time to make room for holiday stuff. I never do anything for the holidays anyway since my family is across the country, so I would have plenty of time to do swap stuff.


We would be making ponies based off of musicals or songs, or a mashup of songs. You could base it on one verse or the song, a music video of the song, a cover of the song, the artist who sung the song.. You get the picture! As long as it is a musical theme, it fits!



Each participant would list 3-5 songs or musicals that they would like to receive customs modeled after.

You could list which Gen you prefer to receive and which Gen you prefer to customize.

Other various questions will be listed as well.

It will be a skill based swap, and I think I would require 5 feedback with 5 months membership. I would be happy to create a newbie section if there was enough interest for 5 newbies. 3 months membership, 2 feedback and one of those can be from an ebay account.

I doubt I can squeeze it in, but this does sound awesome. I also think a 'band tribute' swap would be awesome! Like a Beatles pony or Kiss, ACDC, Blondie, Madonna, (yep, I'm old) so much awesome band inspiration Although I think the song theme would translate well Are you going to match up people by genres? What if someone who hates country gets country partner? or rap/metal/punk etc? Or do people not care who they get?

Great point Salli. I will include a section to list musical preferences when it comes to customizing. I will take that into consideration when assigning partners, and I will make sure that everyone knows to include some variety in their set list. If someone picks ALL rap, and nobody wants to do a rap themed pony for example, then that would be bad!

I think you will be a few weeks shy of the 5 month mark but you would totally qualify for the newbie catagory for people with less membership time if I get a few more who want in as well.

this does sound an interesting idea - my only worry would be if I got someone that the music they advised had no idea! Though I guess Google is mans best friend there! Could musical things such as Glee be included?

In terms of dates flexible, though would after be easier on peeps as every saving for those christmas pressies? For me, a good idea to leave either of those dates around the posting problems. Fab idea
