me too onleo    im really worried about her.   she just walks so gingerly. and i hope the foal is ok too, it will seriously be amazing if it lives in all honesty ;_;   breaks my heart, but the condition i got her in was so rough nothing but bones she had NO nutrition.     and if she really is pregnant than she is only a few weeks away from foaling with the signs she is giving off.

At least you have caught it before the foal was born, and if it's kicking, it is still alive now, so you can start feeding her appropriately from now on.    I have my fingers crossed for you that both mum and baby make it generally unscathed.  If not, it is certainly not your fault, so don't beat yourself up.

What a disgusting world we are in that she was in this condition when you got her.  It's great there are people like you around.

I know horses aren't dogs but when I got my dog Nori, she was pregnant with 6 pups, weighed about 5 lbs (she's around 20 now), so covered in fleas her skin looked like it was crawling under her fur, and very anemic. She gave birth a week after we got her and all the pups were healthy and on the large side for chihuahuas and she had no problems. Fed all 6 herself even. So, I think there's at least hope for your horse and her foal. *sends luck and good wishes*

had vet out today to palpate her.  he said he doesnt think she is pregnant.  0_0   my barn owner and i were not really convinced as he was barely in for a second, and hardly looked at her!   100$ later im still not convinced.   but at elast i can say i had the vet out to check her.   im going to keep a very close watch on her and seriously if she drops a foal his office is hearing from me.

Yikes! Poor sweet thing. All of those issues and preggers too. I'm so glad she found someone to take such good care of her. The very best of luck to all three of you!

Oh wow.  What a shock.  Hopefully all of the good care you have been giving her will have helped the foal to develop.  Keep us updated.

If she is pregnant then fingers crossed for all of you! Can you not ask for a second opinion from a different vet?

i may get a different vet... but im Broke now   ive dropped 1500 in supplements special feed and vet bills over the [past 6 weeks ;_;        there may be a pony sale coming soon guys


i want her tested for lyme disease.  shes showing a lot of symptoms.   (other than the belly and udder development lol thats not included)
