so no dice finding books for my partner at the thrift stores today... However I did find an awesome 1971 Children's book on Atomic Energy by Irving Adler! the illustrations are awesome! plus the fact it shows an atomic bomb blast had to have it

Ah, this is a neat swap I would love to have joined if I had the money. But honestly it would be pointless for me to get a lot of books. I have at least 30 in my backlog. All of them would have been read by now if it weren't for a rule change at work. We used to be able to read at our desk when we weren't busy. Thanks to a surprise visit by the CEO in our office and fear of people being laid off since we didn't look busy enough, my boss had to crack down and stop the reading. He has good intentions. If he had it his way, he would let us read. He's afraid of us losing our jobs. I could get a couple novels read per week that way. But though I adore reading, I don't read much when at home. I'm busy playing around on the internet or playing video games. But yeah....if I were more into reading more at home, it would have been sweet to get a whole bunch of new paranormal romance series or horror books. Hope ya'll get some great books!

All my local bookshops were dry of any books on my partner's wishlist. :/ So ... bit the bullet and got 4 on the way from half.com! feels like cheating almost... I'm determined to find book 5 at a thrift shop!! Just I know my life is going to get too busy for thrifting soon. Also got a few extras from my pony trade box picked out.

I'm "cheating" too, because I am sure my partner doesn't want a used book in Mandarin lol! But so far I have found 4 books online, I am looking for number 5th now.

My local bookstore was out of all the books on my partner's list but I did get to catch up with the lady who runs the store... I was so sad to hear her husband passed away. They started up the book store as their retirement hobby.

I stopped in at a used book store and ended up with 6 books for my partner. I almost ended up with more, but then I realized I was over the swap limit as it was!

So now I'm going to focus on some extras!

Also; thought I might try and put together a better wish-list for my partner, I know I was pretty vague.

I just got 1/4 books in the mail today! for used it looks brand new just rough around the edges from sitting on a shelf. The paperback spine isn't even broken yet!
