Welllll no one will ever accuse me of not taking enough pictures Just seriously took 150 of my one girl, and haven't even started work on the second!! How am I ever going to choose which photos to use? @_@ There are so many good ones!

I recall Tyra Banks telling a story in which she went to Paris to model with a portfolio of only three photos, but those three were good enough to land her jobs. So remember, quality over quantity! (Although quite often in doll photography it take a hundred shots just to get a decent one!)

So I was going to take some pictures outside today at my parent's place, because there are a ton of trees and it would look awesome...and I want to show off my new girls, but I completely missed the fact that it was supposed to rain today.  -.-  Seems I will have to settle for more pics on my apartment balcony.  >.<  I shall take more!  mwuhahaha


And Tuney, I might have another gal to photograph after this weekend.  So there might be a Rochelle after all, lol

Chi: I find that it takes some planning. Usually I start to pose my dolls a few days before a shoot, try to find something I really like. I do the same with clothes, hairstyle, and set. That way once you are motivated, you've got a gameplan!

Also, for those of you who don't use photoshop, I strongly recommend downloading Picasa. It's free, user friendly, and has lots of great features for those who aren't into the high tech editing (like myself)!

I guess so, but I also have a hard time finding outfits. I can't really find any on Etsy that I can afford to be buying for the prices they're going for but I did find some amazing Zanjava outfits I'm eyeing..

I...Got rid of all my dolls except for Rochelle... >____> I do have Operetta, DT Frankie & Ghoulia and Rochelle's clothes. I also have a ton of barbie clothing that I can tailor to fit her.
I have Spectra on the way, though!
And Zanjava is someone who makes AMAZING MH clothing on eBay. They're a little pricy but they're so extremely well made.

I told my sister about this thread and she is planning to spend a few nights over. She's making dresses for the dolls now and we will do photo shoots when she's here next week. If we don't make the entry ending date, I will save them for the next. We are super excited about this. All of the entries so far are amazing!!! I am sure it will be hard to pick just a few when voting happens.

Psi: glad you're excited. You better enter before the deadline! Get snapping! Hehe. While custom clothes are awesome, they won't effect your chance of making the final twelve! You just need a killer model and a great photo!

I'm not going to lie, I'm so excited about this competition that I've gone a little nuts-o. Photography and MH? Two of my most favorite things in one? DONE! I went on a RAMPAGE and raided my fabric drawer to make some new outfits, painted Jordan's nails, and found her a boyfriend! (Hes very supportive of her trying out for ANTM:P ) I went on a wild goose chase to find the CAM Vamp/Gargoyle boys, and after calling 6 different Targets, I eventually did find them and drove a half an hour to go pick them up! I'm starting to obsess!! I can't stop myself!

Now Ghoulia and the Vamp boy are making eyes at each other on the shelf, and Jordan is now going steady with "Rock". Here's a shot that I took last night after getting the boys home and getting them together...
