Baby Moondancer\'s eyes? *edit*

What color are they suppose to be?
I have two different Baby Moondancers and one has bright pink eyes and the other has purple-y eyes. Both say Hong Kong on the feet.
Is one faded? Is this just a normal variation?
 
*edit* Yeah... I know I said purple, but I meant blue. My other Baby Moondancer has light blue eyes.

Are the symbols glittery?

Some eye colors will fade and change in the sun and others are just variations in the paint batches.

As Kittybethy says...are both sets of symbols glittery or is one glittery and one matt or is one glittery and one matt with glitter on the top of it! There were 3 slight variations in her - the glittery is US, the matt and matt with glitter are the Euro/Germany releases.

Mine have the same thing. I am going to have to say they are faded. Very common for pinks to turn blue. Are the eyes slightly blue or a baby Glory blue?

Photo bucket is being stupid right now, but it is common on Scoops and also Raincurl to have them turn blue.

Chip is right any shade of purple is notorious for loosing the red pignment and becoming more blue...so thats certainly an option as well...

The eyes are so different, that is what caught my attention from across the room the other day. (They are not displayed right next to eachother, so that is why I did not notice earlier)

The glitter color looks a bit different to me. The one on the left looks more pinkish purple and the one on the right looks more blue purple.
Also, the one on the left has smoother edged on the symbols than the other (but it could just be me)

Wow those eyes certainly do look like different colors to me, in the first photo! I don't know much about eye paint color batches, so I dunno if that's a variant or from another country or just paint mixing differently or fading over the years... Could be so many things.... Though I feel bad for poor yellow Moondancer on the right! Haha. She looks like she could be Baby Yellow Moondancer!

I honestly think it looks like a paint pigment issue...Chips picture is a good example of something similar happening with symbols its also really common with ponies like Baby Crumpet.

To create the purpley pink their is of course both blue and red in the paint...the red pigment is notorious for leaching out earlier than the blue...so as the red pigment leaves you are left with the blue...

This and all the different batches of Baby Moondancers probably account for the differences.
