Incidentally, I've been thinking for a while about making a MLP comic site to house these scans . . . but am not sure about the web design for it.  I'm going to be holding a contest soon with the G3 red SDCC superhero pony (or $50 if the winner prefers) as a prize, so be sure to look for posts about that! 


I don't have complete sets of the comics but I do have quite a few, and would love to share them with other pony fans!

That is weird and awesome.  I'd heard of that story before but it's the first time I saw it.  It would be great if you would host the comics online, I'd love to be able to read them anytime.

I love that story! Poor blind ponies, I never knew where TEs came from. I'll have to put Applejack in with my TE herd for a visit!

The funniest thing is when they released the second set of TEs (Locket, Tic-Tac-Toe, and so on) they had Applejack visit the cave again and find MORE TWINKLE-EYE PONIES.   She was like "Oh, I guess I didn't notice you the first time I was here!"

They were very big on origin stories for new sets of ponies in the comics, to the extent that they had a tale where "regular" Baby Lickety-Split (the one in based on the toy in Baby Blossom's pose) meets First Tooth Baby Lickety-Split.  "Oh, you must be my identical cousin!  Who is also named Lickety-Split!"

Then Tex lassoed some ice cream cones for them.  Oh, UK comics! 

I'll post the story of Gypsy and the Red Beings at some point too, that one is awesome.

I always loved this little story.
It's a pretty nifty way of explaining the TEs. Would have made a cool episode for the series too, come to think of it.  :3

The fact that the jewels got blasted into their eyes is slightly horrifying to me  , but otherwise it's a good story that properly explains some ponies' origins. Thanks for sharing!

I like to think the jewels act as sunglasses, rather than replacing the actual eyes coz that's just gory and disturbing!

I do love that someone somewhere decided to try to explain the TEs rather than just shrugging and saying "hey, they're toys, who cares?"

Anyone else got Applejack's "Who's a silly pony?" song stuck in their head now?

thats what I first thought, when I read the story I have a tiny german book containing that story (Die Geschichte der Augensternponys by Remus Verlag)
