kinda makes me wonder what is going to happen to value of other g4 because Hasbro is dragging tail on releasing new stuff in my area
I only came across Diamond Rose and that cherry Pie one time and bought them and so glad now that I had because that was months ago January/Feb. perhaps and never saw those since...
Hasbro needs to get on to better distrubution!! I don't want to have to resort to finding ones I want on ebay...I like store buying at cost!! The gas soaring is enough as is without pony wars on ebay due to someone sleeping in the pony shipping dock!

Wow. Makes me want to scour the big department stores for any leftover Rarity carousels so I can sell a Sweetie Swirl of my own.

FS Applejack has become incredibly hard to find, so those prices aren't as shocking to me. I think she was sold before or right when FiM hit it big and then they stopped producing/selling her. I'm lucky I nabbed her when I did--wish I had grabbed more than one now.

If I had a HTF item, I'd have a difficult time deciding where to put it up for auction.

Yeah, I am surprised Sweetie Swirl is going for more than the boxed price. She must have entirely disappeared from a lot of areas.

I emailed Hasbro a while back and it turns out that they are still making Fashion Style Applejacks.  But they only distribute them a certain way.  It's kind of dumb, really. :/

Wow!! although she is pretty hard to find, I bought my set just for Sweetie Swirl then sold the playset for $20 just before Christmas.. In the end I only paid $9 for the pony . But I stupidly didn't know that Rarity had tinsel in her hair, I sold her with the playset

Applejack does not surprise me at all.  She has been going that high for a couple months now.
 
Now Sweetie Swirl on the other hand..let's put it this way I have considered selling her after seeing all that.

They were selling the carousel set for €15 here lately (it was €40 when it came out)....... Dang it, I'd have bought all the 3 they had left had I known she'd become that valueable. :E xD

That's the way its going to be with these exclusives at the moment I think - by the time you buy the set and have it shipped half way across the world it does start to get expensive so maybe someone was just willing to drop a little more for the ease of getting the only part of the set they wanted. Whether its Sweetie Swirl, Star Swirl, SkyWishes or whomever else they release this way in the future because of the nature of the internet we "know" who has what elsewhere on the globe unlike back in G1 days where you mainly knew what was out in your country and no where else - this knowledge makes exclusives sought after. Plus there is the rightful worry that more and more of the earlier waves which were "supposed" to be widely available in certain countries simply havent shown up. I am not going to argue that the end price is high though just not as shocking as I other auctions I have seen lol.

Give it a couple of years [or even less] and we ll start seeing "ex-toys" online via ebay from parents selling no longer wanted childrens items, then the prices will lower again...

And on FS AJ we ll get her again...so as long as you were after the pony and not the specific first release then I would hold out for her to hit shelves again!

Don't even get me started on distribution! I know the UK is well behind everyone else, but I haven't seen a non-mane 6 character in MONTHS, and I can count on one hand the ones I've seen at all
Given that, these make sense.
