I can be a little too perfectionist with tiny details sometimes and it can be stressful.
I was just a teensy bit tempted to try selling this thing when i thought I was going to have some expensive car repairs. Luckily i don't need to. I do need to unload a boat full of G3s
My boyfriend and I were talking about how much people like this castle and it got me thinking that maybe I could pay my way to next year's pony fair with some of these.

That's gorgeous!  Now that you know how to sculpt, you should totally do custom porceleins--I bet they'd sell like Plushies!  Ooh, and you should do the accessories now too!

And I know what you mean about Dream Castle need.  I was born in '88, so by the time I grew up, there were almost no ponies in stores.  I wanted a Dream Castle SOOOO bad, but I could never seem to find one ANYWHERE.

Then, one day my Dad decided to help me out and built me a fake one out of wood and funnels and heavy duty cardboard cylinders.  It didn't look anything like a real Dream Castle, but I loved it!  Handmade playsets are the best!

Aw Mismatch that's awesome your dad tried to make you a Dream Castle! My dad made my sister and i some doll furniture out of random scraps of wood. Hooray for handy dads trying to please their kids!

It looks awesome, even better than the original castle. It looks genuine hasbro too, like it could have been part of the G1 pony ceramics.

Totally off topic but, this brought back a weird memory from the 80s:

I once tried to make a gingerbread Dream Castle for christmas. Mini size. It turned out awful. I used empty toilet rolls covered in tin foil to shape the towers and when they came out of the owen the dough had risen around the rolls so it was impossible to remove them. So I ended up leaving them inside. Once the turrets and the frosting came on it looked half-decent.
I was so complimented for the castle. No one knew about the rolls inside.. and I didn't say anything.
This was for display only, no one was going to eat it. But still...  >_<

Aaah, that is BEAUTIFUL  ^.^

I love it because it's like a REAL castle rather than one just made of plastic!

Wow, a home made castle?!

:dropjaw: I was just posting in another thread about custom playsets. Yours is epic and I hope you love every lil bit of it as much as we do.
