Paypal Scam Email?

So, I have two messages in my 'Online Shopping' folder that I have a feeling aren't legit. They look like Paypal emails in their layout but the wording is a bit weird:

Dear PayPal Customer,
Please Note, Your Online PayPal Account have one new security message.
Due to recent changes we have made for safety and integrity.
This issue must be resolved now, otherwise your account will be suspension.
Please follow the link below to update your account: [Login to Managed your account]
This verification will allow us to activate new features for your account on our system.  Yours Sincerely, PayPal .

There is a link, which I hovered over which looks a bit odd as well. I didn't click it but instead went to my account and everything seems as it would be normally.

It is most certainly a scam. You should report them to paypal..

I love how they didn't check for any errors. That mistake is so funny, I had to laughter.

Ugh!  there are so many scams going around arent there?! (I'll admit I LOLed at the wording of this one though "account have one security message......  otherwise your account will be suspension*      )

It got into my folder as the email was [email protected] so I think it tricked the filter.

I think paypal emails use your actual name, don't they?

I had the exact same message in my mail box not to long ago. I didn't click on any link and I sent the email on to paypal. I believe I even got a reply from paypal saying to was a scam going around.

that link takes you to a page to change your password then these scumbags come in and take any money you have in paypal and your bank.

Even with realy paypal messages I still open another page and go in that way as I'm so afraid something like that will happen.

I laughed pretty hard at the poor grammar in this. You think scammers would at least try to make their e-mails seem legitimate!

Definitely phishy paypal will always address you by name, the dodgy english and web link are a giveaway. If you report the email to
Paypal then you will get e reply to confirm if jts fake

Be sure if you get any in the future, that you include the original headers on the email. BTW, if you view the headers, most of those fake Ebay/Paypal/bank emails will come from .ru servers and smack of fraud.
