Rainbow Brite fakies?

So I just browsing Rainbow Brite stuff on ebay and I came across this set of dolls called The Star Shine Collection. They look like this odd combination of American Girl dolls and Rainbow Brite dolls. Anyone know anything about these dolls? If they weren't so expensive I'd bet tempted to bid on them.

Wow, and they look to be relatively low quality too- looks like something you would have found at a place like Dollar General. Really neat though!

I'm not sure if their star painted eyes add to their charm or creepiness.

I actually saw that Lumina one in her box at the thrift store. I was bummed when I realized it wasn't a real Rainbow Brite doll, but I guess I should have picked her up anyway. Darn!
