I hate glue... Help!

Okay, so; my recently bought baby Half Note has a problem, her tail is glued on her    I popped her head off and her metal washer fell out. I think the washer must've broke and the tail came out or something, that's why they glued it back. The problem is - I can't get the glue off her or her tail, appears to be some sort of super glue ... I've tried boiling her to make it soft, used pliers to "crush" the clue, and I've even tried sand paper - none of this have worked; is there anything else I can do?

She's common enough, so if you have to replace the tail it wouldn't be that bad.
Try a bit of acetone, that may help to loosen it up...
Hopefully someone else will chime in with ideas. :o)

Oopsie! forgot to write that I've tried acetone as well. Anyways - I've got no problem with replacing her, I'm just so stubborn about getting the glue away that even if I got a new one I'd still try to get the dumb glue away xD

The only thing I can think of is acetone :/ But I'm not sure even that would cut through super glue!

Acetone would be my only guess too. Maybe you could check on the customs forum to see if anyone has a spare tail for her and then you wouldn't have to get a whole new one?

Yeah, my suggestion is to take an exacto blade to the glue and cut the tail out if you have to, or google things that dissolve super glue. Getting a new tail for her would be the easiest thing, I think!

You can buy superglue remover, which is not that expensive, but probably more than the pony is worth. I'm not sure if it would have any side effects.

Jasco should do the trick. I wouldn't touch her with an xacto knife blade or you'll probably cut her plastic.

Most supermarkets will stock superglue remover of some kind...I havent used it on ponies of course but I have used it to "loosen" superglue in the past and it works well enough.

I use the glue remover "Goof off" (industrial strength) and if that won't take it off nothing will!
