Colour Match Alternative?

Hey peeps I have been challenged to custom a young Granny Smith pony. Being the Applejack family understand that the closest colour match is Lemonade which is widely not available and an alternative to that is lemon Blond Katsilk. In the nylon range is there a good similar colour on the next step up either way?


mylittlecustoms is my local base and doesnt have either above and can post quicker, dollyhair has the better range and more in stock but worried that the orders are going to take a long time due to lovely lady just having baby?

I like to recycle. I found that yellow hair from G3 styling rainbow dash is pretty close and yellow hair from G3 SLH Rarity is also close but a bit light.

and sadly I just dehaired him but trashed the hair (not his tail which sold)


I have two shank but I think it would take 3 to rehair a g4. Willing to sell mine (.50 for both plus shipping) they still have tinsel in them and played with dry but fixable

Hmmm have you considered looking at the saran colors to see if any of them would work? On one of the Polypropylene colors?

Thanks for the suggestions peeps, unfortunately it would cost even more to find a styling to dehair and do prefer new hanks. It will be a G3 custom so a fair bit more needed, thanks for really kind offer

I have great trouble picking alternate colours as only been customising since Christmas and completely new to the world of ponies so not great at it picking colours through monitor

Mmm well the next closet color is G1 AJ's color, Golden Delicious. It's a bit darker but it should work

Actually, Lemonade is a much lighter yellow than the colors pictured above.

G3 Wing Song is a good match, with her super long hair she could be a good donor pony.  You could also possibly try dyeing the white hair with a dash of yellow.

I would go with Golden Delicious. Granny Smith is old and G1 Applejack has Golden Delicious so....

We are due a delivery of saran which has Lemon Blonde early next week so it will be back in stock next week. As for Lemonade our supplier is out of stock at the moment.

Ditto to this - Golden Delicious is a gorgeous colour  (bonus being it is also in stock at MLC lol!)
