Changing established eBay id help needed

Hi all,

I've got a question and I'm hoping to get some advice 

I've been on eBay pretty much since the beginning (14 yrs 7mos) and I've had the user id shadow_cat since they first change to them (used to be your email addy for those who weren't around back then  ).
Well I've been toying with the idea of changing my id to babyheartthrob (I checked and the id is available) to match most of my other online screen names and the fact that shadow_cat was a nod to the xmen character from the comics and I stopped reading those quite a while back. 

My question is would it be weird to change a user id that is that well established (I've got both buying and selling feedback) or do y'all think it is ok to change it to match the rest of my online "life"?

I've changed my ID twice now to match my "online updates." You get a little icon next to your name that notifies people that your ID has recently changed and they can see the name you had before, and you still keep all your feedback, so even though the name changes, people can still see you're an established eBayer

Yep, and repeat customers would probably have you saved in their seller list!

I don't think changing your ID to match your other ID's is a bad idea at all.
And the others are right you will not lose your feedback or reputation.  I see people change there's all the time to match up with other online profiles.  It is actually sometimes beneficial if your selling here and there.

Like the others already mentioned, you will not lose your feedback etc  so its fine to go ahead and change it if you like
