Need ideas for a zombie party

Hey people, I'm throwing a 9th birthday for an awesome kid next month.  We are making zombie slime, having a shooting game with a nerf gun, & zombie tag with balloons.  I usually get a bunch of candy & dollar store prizes for the kids to win so I need more ideas for games.  If nothing else we'll bust out the xbox for some nazi zombies...but I'd rather not do that...  I thought about a brain eating contest(jello in a brain mold) but that seems like so much work & I don't want the kids to throw up lol.  Any help appreciated!!

hmm, when i was young, a friend had a witch party. a few things of this might work for you.
i remember from the food, that we had "fingers". heißwürstchen  ( http://www.pitopia.de/pictures/standard/h/helga_walter/77/helga_walter_77677.jpg ) cut in half with ketchup on the cutted end. also colored ice cubes, that was very cool.
the most impressive game was "the blind box". probably a shoebox, painted black, with a hole on the side to reach in. we had to guess what it was inside and the right answer was something "spooky". i remember peeled grapes as "eyeballs" and simple cooked spagetti as brains.

hmm, and what about pin the arm on the zombie? (pin the tail on the pony)
well, a blindfolded pakour comes in my mind too, but with soft things, so noone gets hurt?  you could probably look up halloween games and rename them.

Aw you already came up with the "pin the arl on the zombie" suggestion I was gonna make.    Jell-O brains for a snack sounds good too.  A pinata?  You could get a pinata and paint it so it looks like a zombie.

Apple bobbing, but with candy eyeballs / fingers/ body parts.. or put the items in jelly (jell-O) and get the kids to stick their arms in and feel them out?

Simple things, like Zombie musical statues (the kids have to make zombie poses when the music stops.. play songs like the Monster Mash and Thriller!), best Zombie dancer, a Zombie / Scary face competition..

Zombie wrapping game, where the kids have to see who can wrap up their 'Zombie' (choose a few kiddies) with bandage the quickest!

Egg and spoon style races.. only, with a table tennis ball painted as an eye or a fake eye as the 'egg'.

Tell them spooky stories. Always goes down a treat.

Thanks for the replies all!  The "feel" game sounds like some disgusting fun, kids love getting messy!  I might do that & possibly the wrap game.  I've never heard of "hit the pot" before...

Oh and I usually make pinatas for their birthdays but this year I decided not to because I just think a human like object hanging from a tree would look kind of...offensive??  Idk.

"hit the pot"  is simply that you blindfold a kid and hide a cooking pot/ or bucket in the room with candy under it. the kid gets a wooden cooking spoon or something familiar in the hand and tries to move forwad while knocking with the big spoon on the floor, searching for the pot. the others say "cooler"for distance or "warmer" if the kid comes closer to the pot. you can also let another kit tip on the pot with something, so the blindfolded can hear where the pot is. ^^
in my childhood, we played it on every birthday!

You could look in to Zombie Flux - -I know it's available on Amazon. Is a card game where the rules change! My 8 year old begs us to play the game with him. One of the favourite rules that crops up occasionally is that every time someone plays a zombie card, they have to groan. Here are directions I found for something called Zombie Chase.

If you want something on the TV in the background... You could try Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island and there is a great South Park episode entitled 'Night of the Living Homeless,' and The Simpsons' 'Dial "Z" for Zombie'. There's Xombie: Dead on Arrival available on Netflix.

Don't forget to have Zombie Juice on hand (green kool aid?) or possibly Carbonated Blood (fizzy red drink?.) You can also mix up some of the classic chocolate syrup/red food colouring/corn syrup mix for blood and squirt some into cupcakes. I also always loved having Dirt and Worms when I was a kid (something with oreo cookie crumbs and gummi worms and I think chocolate pudding?) which wouldn't be too hard to make a bit more zombie-themed.
