OMG, this is the ugliest pony I've ever seen. lol. (I knooooow: unqualified comment with no real input)
I bet people will do wonderful customs with him but I think I'll just work on regular G1,G3,G4 bases and add fluff...

How are you supposed to put a "normal" mane in?! No way I'll fill the gap with plugs. lol

You can still do it. I'd just add the plugs into the trench where the troll hair was

Awww... I was hoping the troll hair was just badly styled short hair.. That sucks. :( I wonder if there is a feedback option somewhere to tell Hasbro they need to give him normal hair?

I suppose if he were getting a FBR, then the gap could be filled in with clay, and have a small strip left open for hair.. or use sculpey and bake it, since I heard somewhere that Dollyhair can bake.

He's not perfect. He looks a little fat from the front and a little depressed in the face but I'm still excited they produced him.

^ My idea. I'm hoping the small different in height won't matter much when you get the hair in. If you fill the gap with rows and and rows through, it will end up a big thick mohawk like Thunderlane's.

Nope. It's a strip of poofy fun-fur glued in with weak glue.
That might work. :D

Ugh, can't they at least make the groom handsome on his special day? He looks like he went to far with that apple cider the night before the wedding. xD

That might work, I don't think some will mind longer hair on the boy.. well those of us who are used to G1 boys... Other fans might not agree (or get their pony tails tied in knots :|)

I know! I wonder if they were trying to make it short like in the show to please older collectors or something.. but there are better ways to go about it

Root normal hair.
Cut hair.
Gel hair rock hard so it stays down.

They do it with dolls, after all. His tail is fairly long so they could leave it a regular pony length but if they wanted to do a short mane, plastering it down with gel would have worked better than the troll hair, which pulls right out.

I think some nice fluffy mohair or brushed out yarn would be a good replacement for his hair.
