Painting after sealing?
« on: April 23, 2012, 01:36:17 PM »
I have Testor's dullcote and am wondering if I can spray a coat on my airbrushed base before I start painting then after its dry do my painting and seal it again afterwards? I am assuming that you can paint in between coats of that sealer but just thought I would ask to be sure  :)

I've never had a problem with that. Just make sure to let the sealer dry completely before painting over it again! Good luck! ♥

I almost always use multiple coats of sealer most of the time with paint in between :)

This is my standard M.O., and it's worked well for me. When I've made a mistake or changed my mind about something on the top layer, I've been able to go back up to almost a week later and clean the paint off with a stiff brush and some pink soap and no damage done to the sealed coats below.

Yup!  I always seal after airbrushing before I do eyes or symbols. :)  That way if I mess up I can gently remove the paint with little or no damage to my FBR.
