Passing on the pony love...

Today is the first day back to school for my 6-year-old daughter. We had a great time over her spring break doing G1 puzzles.    She was so happy doing them with me asking who each pony was and  if I had any

of them. I just loved it! I think we did 7 or 8 of them by the end of the week and she wants me to find some more that have G2s or that have 100 pieces. It was pretty neat passing on something I loved as a child to her.    Anyone else pass on some pony love lately?

Came home from work the other day to find the 8 year old watching MLP:FiM on the Wii. Of course it was past his bedtime and he got grumbled at, but it was still cute.

I turned my little sister onto ponies when she was little. She is eight years younger than me, so playing with ponies was a way for me to connect to her back then. We had a pretty big herd between the two of us back when we had a house that had a whole room for our toys. She had Barbie horses and G3s and I had my G1s and G2s so we had a great time sharing. We'd buy fakies together anytime we found them. It was a fun time. She's 15 going on 16 now and doesn't have much interest in them anymore... :/ Maybe that will change someday. It would be nice, but I won't push the issue.

I got my husband into ponies last year when he watched Dragonshy with me because of his love of dragons and he's been watching every episode with me ever since.

I have 3 daughters, ages 7,6 and 18 months.  Needless to say, my house has been taken over by ponies!  A friend of mine gave me a MLP at my baby shower for my oldest daughter, because her and I used to play ponies when we were little!  My girls love ponies, and it is so fun to play with them!  Even the baby gets in on the fun; she has her own G4 Pinkie Pie and she claimed G1 Baby Cuddles (who I was going to sell) for herself.  I have a few pics I'll post later of her with her ponies.  Pony love is going strong in my home!!!

Awww! I can't say that I've passed the ponies on, but my little cousin has always loved them and she likes to play with them when she comes over. She's absolutely fascinated with sea ponies and it just makes me so happy to see them all being played with again.

I have this fantasy of giving all of my old toys to my kids someday. When my mom did that for us, I thought it was the coolest thing and decided that I was going to do it too, so I just kept saving and saving. It's especially special to me that my old Beanie Babies specifically go to my kids.

When my little cousin comes to visit in the summer she likes to get her own pony to custom. I always save her a couple that I can't sell to customers. She makes a mess but we have great fun together.
