No one knows for sure what her deal is, but my guess is that she (like the Ember in that catalogue picture) was made to test out the Beddy Bye Eye concept.

Exactly. I think they tried the BBE eyes on an adult to see how it will turn out. I presume they were just as freaked out as we are now

I love the So Softs with their eyes painted over the flocking! I'd love to be able to see my SS ponies' eyes and symbols better.

I wish I'd been around when it was actually happening, but I came across the initial post (in Nirvana?) when I was just being nosy. What a ride that thread was, and how odd the seller was. Shame that they really didn't cooperate

I love First Tooth Baby Sundance and am thoroughly miffed that all we got was zombified BBE Baby Sundance.

Originally FT Baby Sundance was part of the Year 5 Pony Friends line (with the zebra, giraffe, etc).

And Icey [aka Frosty] has the same green as the Thailand Icey rather than the regular HK one.

So hathorcat, the stripe then is legit?  We went round and round about this a bit ago.  Is there a picture of him in the magazine w/Tornado?  I wonder if that Tornado is a Thailand pony too...

And my favorite prototype - Green Eyed Sweet Stuff.  She's so pretty!  100% legit too.    I lucked into her a few years back and in a reckless decision sold her off to another collector.      But anyway, she's well loved so I'm happy.  Though I'm still pining for the day that I can get her back.
