I'm making my own - Wigs cost right around $20 and I'm guessing they use Air Clay to make the ears and horn so it's light enough. Will probally be showing mine off at the Fair.

they look nice but the horn isn´t my type, it´s a bit too split for my taste. the ears are also a bit stiff, like plates.
and then i looked at the price.
WHOHA! i mean, seriously?? the wigs wont be more than 20 dollars! like ivy said, and the clay is a maximum of 10 dollars maybe? and its so simple!
i would expect a lot more details for this price, seriously.  i´ve been selling ears and horn wigs for quite a while now, and i make seperate soft fabric ears. that is a lot more work and i would never dream to ask for such a price!  O-O
seriously, you better make one yourself or comission one of the girls like Ivy here.

I  love the white one - but yea, too expensive. *IF* I had money to spare I'd do the white one and dress up as Amalthea for Halloween.

The Celestia one is gorgeous!  I probably wouldn't wear any of these (wigs aren't my thing), but I love the worksmanship on them!  Seem a bit pricey though.

Yeah, those are horribly overpriced, unfortunately. ;_; I'm not really a fan of how the ears look either. I've made my own for cosplay by using model magic and paper clay.   They ended up looking pretty nice!

I dont go in for cosplay but I do love wigs...I love the colour combo on the Celestia one.

I totally love them.  I showed my husband, expecting him to freak out, but now he wants me to get one for comic con, lol.

Considering the materials, and that they are hand dyed, styled, sculpted and painted, I bet the artist is making less than minimum wage for their time.  I don't think that they are overpriced.  It's more than I'm willing to pay for something I'd probably only get to wear once, though.
