Ponies with hard plastic?
« on: April 11, 2012, 12:16:59 AM »
I have two ponies that are very hard... I got another Bunny Hop and man you could kill someone with this girl (no pocket or bunny owo also a cloud puff who has awful hair and is also kind od hard also. Would anyone still want them in this shape? They are now on hold....

Harder plastic means (I believe, and I could have this backwards) that the plasticiser has broken down.

Depending on what you're after, I may be willing to trade both with you. ^.^ Shoot me a PM.

As Kiwi said, it's a plastic issue.  Some ponies are commonly found w/ hardened plastic.  Sweet Stuff and I believe Gingerbread come to mind.  I don't think it affects value.
Looking for CF Minty, excellent condition! (and maybe Snuzzle and Blue Belle)

I don't think it affects value much. I like it when mine turn hard because I don't have to worry about the plastic breaking down any more.

Some batches of pony plastic are prone to this.  It doesn't affect their value.  :)

I have several ponies with hard plastic, Starshine, Satly, Sweet Pop, Goldilocks, Birthday Pony, Merry Treat, BBE Baby Gusty, and BBE Baby Sundance. I don't think it affects value though.

Plasticiser evaporation can also cause gooeyness on pony surface, but I've only had a couple ponies with this issue.

Thankfully they are not gooey!!
