       Custom #1 of a series of 4 traditional Japanese-style kimono customs.

Pony base was originally the generation 3 candy dispenser pony. It's just slightly smaller than a styling-sized pony, there's a pic of a regular g3 at the bottom of this collage for size comparison so there's a vision of the size scale.

Had to screw the thing apart in 6 pieces, practically dissect it, then paint the 6 pieces before re-screwing all of it.

Mane is re-rooted in to a plastic strip that's fixed in to the scalp of the pony. Hair used is authentic Hasbro pony hair in the colors of chocolate fudge and chocolate pudding.

Outfit is 100% hand-sewn, not that I had a choice otherwise with the thickness of the plastic of this.

Foxes are actually cats from a novelty toy called "Catapault" that I purchased from Zumiez store from a mall nearby and I just painted the cats to look like foxes.

My favorite things about nature growing up were foxes, wild bird eggs, acorns, mushrooms... so I incorporated all these things in kind of a "good luck charm" that's worn on the hair, and the foxes can be contained inside the inner compartment where the candy used to be dispensed.

This looks great! Love the detail and thanks for the WIP shots of taking it apart - i have one that I have an idea for but never wanted to start fidgeting with it until I knew it could be done Love that the little foxes fit into the side compartment - how cute.
