Err... What happened?

I had a spare Sweetie Belle, and I decided to customize her into Baby Moondancer. The thing is... She's grey now. o.O

I have no clue how this happened, but I'd like to fix it. How do I do that?

She didn't turn grey really. This happened to me. They look white, til you paint white on them... suddenly... they look gray.  It's a pain. :/

Oh, that makes sense, then. It's an optical illusion. It's weird because she even looks horribly gray next to my other Sweetie Belle. I hope that she'll look better when she has her hair.

Isn't there some sort of Rit Dye that whitens things, though? Or maybe that was something else, LOL.

Hey hey we all aren't familar with dyes okay? I don't do dyes so I didn't know.

You could try sun fading her. There are lots of great tutorials on how to do that in the Corral.

:giggles mischieviously: White dye no, but I do know what you mean. It's a white brightener, in the rit dye section. I too would be concerned about what it might do to the integrity of the plastic. What I'd suggest actually, isgetting brighter hair colors than you intended to use...The bright colors might pull attention away from the muted body color

I don't think any kind of lightener or brightener would work, primarily because, well, the pony wasn't dyed in the first place. that's just the color of the plastic.

She really doesn't look very grey to me. Her plastic isn't pure pure white to begin with, I think she's just looking a bit grey with the eyes painted. Her head and body look to still be matching so I doubt that anything happened to discolor her or they would be uneven since the plastics are different. I imagine once you get her finished she'll look just fine ^_^

The sweetie Belle I have sitting in my bait box has the same issue - she isn't **really** white to begin with. I have a Rarity who has the same problem - definately an off shade of white/grey.
I agree that using brighter hair colours should make her look whiter

I'd check if she is not a little bit dirty, maybe you had something on your hands, just use a magic eraser in a little spot away from the paint, if it goes whiter then she needs a little clean. If it stays the same what everyone else said
