Hey Cosplayers lend me some advice please =3

So I plan on doing some comfortable/simple cosplay for a con in may (after 2 years of complex stressful ones I wanna enjoy this year lol) anyways I'm just wondering I can have people recognize who I'm cosplaying

Oops I didn't notice I worded this wrong, I was wondering what I could do to help people recognize me, like props or whatever

Adverture time and Summer wars awesome! More people will probably recognize Marceline (then again I have never been to a anime con)

Adventure Time is not my favourite, but I love love LOVE Summer Wars! Personally, I would do her Oz form for the cosplay, it might be more recognizable, but I don't know if you'd have enough time...

Yeah I wanted to do her OZ form, but I have a lack of money for this year and it's next month so that's out lol

Ive never had that problem before.  But I think so long as you have something recognizable to the character (the first image didnt open but the flag form the second picture would be one), it should be ok

Like..if I was doing a different version of Hatsune Miku, is still have the teal long pigtails and people would know that this is Miku, just not in her typical clothing

I'd say more people will be familiar with Adventure Time characters simply because it's on television right now. Usually any costume that's from a current show on Cartoon Network is a big hit at conventions ^_^ Something people will do if they're cosplaying a less popular character is to carry a plushie with them of a main character to help people make the connection. Hope that helps!

If I was cosplaying Marcie I would carry around fries if I couldnt get an axe base

fries or a little prop strawberry with half the colour drained out - maybe made of sponge or something.
