Has anyone tried...
« on: March 22, 2012, 02:12:46 PM »
Stickers for cutie marks?  I'm just thinking of this.  I have some blank ink jet sticker paper and if the image is small enough can it be use to make cutie marks.  Has anyone tried that idea?  I'll try and test it one of my fakies first but I will have to do it tomorrow cause I work late tonight and have to go stright to bed when I get off cause I have to work early in the morning the next day.

I've used t-shirt decals (the iron-on ones) and they work okay.

You just have to seal them well after tehy dry.

 Best of luck!

How do you use the iron-on ones on a pony anyways?

I uses stickers for temporary masking on ponies and what I have noticed is that they do not stick very well on their own for long. I would put a coat of modge down and stick the sticker down then modge over it. Basically decoupage over it. :) Should work.

I made a pony with pictures cut out of magazines, glued and sealed onto her. I sold her though, so I have no idea how she's doing these days..

Iiii..... would be really hesitant to do that. I'm sure it can be done well, but, to be honest, I know there are some people who make ponies that way on a fairly regular basis and I think the ponies look kind of cheap and lazy.

I was just asking cause I'm trying to come up a way to get a cutie mark small enough on a G4 to look good (going to make a G4 version of Wind Whistler).  I sadly can't paint that small with out it looking like crap so I'm trying to find different salutions to the problem at hand.

I'm fairly certain that Ink jet decals will work.
I've used them on ceramic pieces before and had no issue.
Never tried it on a pony though.
 :)

(edit)

I MIGHT have one ink jet decal left that I could test.
But, i'm not sure if I still have it or not.

*Runs to go look for it*

I've used them for DD's ponies when she finds stickers she likes.  Or if what I want to do is beyond my painting talents.  I actually use a glue stick, then seal them well.  Good quality stickers helps.

Okay the stickers don't work, I'd tried but what about iron-on transfers someone mention here they used.  How dose it work on a pony?
I know temporary tattoos work cause it work but I don't know where to find or buy and tattoo paper so I can't make my own.
