Colors are not my strong point- Feedback request
« on: March 22, 2012, 09:26:05 AM »
I am fine with obvious colors.. but colors are not my strong point. I was hoping to get a little feedback from you kind folks.
I have two ponies that I need color suggestions for.

With this pony, the rope trim is all going to be gold. I had planned on white lacing.. but now I'm not so sure. Im starting to think maybe it should be black or gold.

And on her peg leg, I wasn't sure if I should do gold for the ring around the top, or more wood color.

On her hair.. Well.. She's a pirate.. I added more plug holes that may or may not show up in the picture, so that the area inside the bandana will be filled in, and also some outside the bandana, and just under her right ear so I could add some for a braid.

Im not sure what colors to use on her hair. I could do red black and gold.. But wouldn't that just be a boring color scheme?

I would love some advice on her!

This one was made to practice a different style of corset. I'm open to ANY color suggestions for her at all. She's going up for sale when she's done. So I really didn't have a strong theme in mind for her when I made her, other than I wanted to practice making sexy corsets.

Thank you guys in advance for any feedback or ideas, even if it isnt color related!

I suggest brown hair for the first pony, in a shade that works well with the peg leg, with maybe some gold or red streaks in there?

As for the second...I like to browse color palettes on colourlovers.com when I don't know what to do. Maybe try experimenting with colors you don't usually use?

Personally for the pirate pony, I was thinking some brownish/red (dark auburn) with blond/gold highlights.  I can picture a blonde highlight braided with some glass beads (she's showing her "booty" off in her hair maybe?).... just my random thoughts...

And the other one? I'd check out the website bc I'm at a loss without a base color to work off of.

From what it looks like. A peg-leg pirate pony
Gold, white, black, red and silver. Are usually great colors to do for a combo.

I also say a brown on the pirate's hair. A rich color of brown maybe..and I think for contrast purpose alone if it were mine I would make her lacing gold, to stand out against the back and also the pony. I'd also make her band around her leg match the wood of her peg. ^^ Just my two cents though :D
