My first G3 custom!

Where her head connected to the body, part of the paint started rubbing off when i put her head back on But other wise she looks great!

I gently tugged her hair and the glue is staying I think its already dried.

VERY unsure is shes even sellable, or if I want to. Since she has imperfections, I don't know if anyone would want her, but I am VERY proud of her.

If anyone knows how to stop the paint from rubbing off, help please?

Did you seal the paint? Mod Podge and Testors Dullcote (spray) are two popular choices.

Recently, another forum member tipped me off to a trick about putting the heads back on. Cut a V into the neck ring, one on each side, and it will go on much easier, and stay on. No forcing it.

She looks fabulous! Love the pearly sheen of the body and the white freckles ^^

A good sealant is essential in keeping the paint from rubbing off. I also trim the neck rings slightly, the less force you need when putting the head back, the less damage the paint will take. Hope you'll avoid the problem next time. Although I don't notice any imperfections on this one either.

Thank you! I sealed her with the spray gloss modge podge. I'll have to remember that next time, do you have pictures of the way you cut the neck so I can see?

I don't get my cuts perfect, but they work I start small, and if it isnt good enough, i widen them a little.

Also, if you did seal her and the paint still rubs off, I would give it another coat next time. I do like Griffin does, and I use mod podge matte (its duller) and water it down. Then I paint it on. I like to do about three coats on mine. Thats just preference though. Next time I have a full body repaint, Im going to test out my Testors Dullcote. Im not sure about using it all over the pony if it isn't needed. I guess it wouldn't hurt, but it seems like a waste.
