Tail hole
« on: March 19, 2012, 06:00:34 PM »
Okay I got this fakie I bought it's pretty good but it's tail hole is odd and was in the wrong place.  It's tail was made like the mane with little holes.  Plus it was place in the middle.  I want to make a new tail hole higher up but I'm unsure of how to do it.

I have a feeling I have the same 2.  I sliced the butt of one getting the tail out.  The second one I used a Phillips screwdriver to gently poke the hole open.  As far as a new hole, that should work as well, but not a clue how to cover the old one.

i took a knife to one like that and just made it really big..... i didnt really wanna sculpt, but you could just cut a new hole and sculpt over the old one if you are feeling ambitious.

I'd sculpt over the old holes and use a very sharp x-acto to cut a new hole, possibly after boiling the pony to make the cutting smoother.

ugh I hate those sorts of tails! they always look odd when you tie a ribbon around the tail (im a ribbon nut) xD
I think the only way to cover it would be like everyone else mentioned with sculpting and cutting a new hole all together

I was thinking of covering up the holes but still unsure how to make the hole right.

when I have fakies like that I normally just cut a little hole in the middle of it, or higher up on the butt.
:) hope that helpped

I was thinking of that.  I was just trying to figure out what I should use to make a new tail hole.
