90s fantasy adoptable pixel site?

Hi, I'm trying to remember what the name of this website I used to love as a kid was called. It was from the 90s. It was a pixel adoptable website with fantasy themed creatures. The splash page was of the website's artist holding a paintbrush with her toes and painting.


I think there were pegasi, mermaids, and fairies there. They all had little stories too.



I know that very vague, but I think it was pretty popular. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? It's been driving me crazy.
