MiM centaur by Goodreau
« on: March 18, 2012, 11:23:25 AM »
I ran across the name Goodreau while looking on ebay for Ellowyne Wilde stuff, went to their website, and take a look at the front page.

http://www.goodreaudoll.com/

A doll that you can change the wig, eyes, and body to give her a completely different lower half like a centaur or mermaid! Completely articulated! Her face is kind of meh, but I bet she'd look awesome with a repaint.

Ahh, I've seen a review on someone's blog of the centaur and apparently the articulation of the horse body is pretty rubbish :/ I do like the face sculpt of the girl though.

That looks horrible in my opinion.... :/
Americans should just stick to fashion dolls.... lol

I thought her face sculpt was sort of eerily cute (like a character out of an Edward Gorey book) but then I saw that photo of her in the sleeping bag.  :yikes:

Hey there are some great BJDs made by Americans! They just tend to be more hobby doll artists that managed to find someone to produce their dolls than a big company like Goodreau. For example Mushroom Peddler has some really cute animal ones and there is even a much cuter centaur by Daisy Dayes. Unfortunately tho the Daisy Dayes centaur is smaller yet more expensive than this.

The MiM is targeted towards children, and are fashion dolls XD

Goodreau does make some BJDs, but they're not everyone's taste XD I know a lot of people do collect them though.
Someone I know has the entire OZ 16in(?) set - they're super cute >3<

I just assumed it was a BJD (i have seen them in person) because the rest of Goodreau is..

I am not a fan of any highly manufacture American made BJDs unless they are artist dolls...
I think Daisy Days work is gorgeous, and Mushroom Peddler won my heart with the owl. <3 <3 <3

Eek! Those creep me out! I think the least scary one is the Aimee doll, but the mouths are so weird!

I think it's a wonderful idea for a play line.  How cute!  Can't wait to see more pictures.
