He remembered!

My Dad actually remembered something from my childhood!
 
 I love my Dad (even though he drives me batty!), but he has a terrible memory! He is famous (or infamous) for forgetting things that happened just hours earlier, and he remembers almost nothing of my childhood (I'm 31)!  I never expect him to remember things that I had/did as a child.
 
 That being said, yesterday he said something that shocked me! 
 
 Yesterday we took my nephew to McDonald's for breakfast and we bought a Transformers toy for him, and my Dad bought me a pony (we couldn't get a Happy Meal because it was too early, so we bought the toys separately).
  The pony he got me was Applejack (I have three now), and I love her!  Then, my Dad asked me the pony's name.  I said "Applejack!"
 Then he shocked me!!     He asked, "Is that the same pony that you had as a little girl?" (AJ was one of the first MLPs that I ever owned). HE REMEMERED THAT I HAD A PONY NAMED APPLEJACK AS A GIRL!!!
 
 I couldn't believe it!  I told him that this was not the same Applejack that I had as a girl because this was the NEW Applejack from the new MLP TV show (I watched the old MLP cartoon as a girl).  He doesn't remember me telling him about the new MLP cartoon, even though I've told him about the show several times! Oh well.
 
 However, I'm very shocked that he remembered my old AJ from childhood. He does remember something after all!

My dad was actually the one that got me back into collecting MLPs again. When we moved out here to UT, he found some at a thrift store for me and brought them to me. He at least knew how special they were to me and didn't force me to part with them (unlike my mom who thought I was "too old" for them)

Awwwhhh that's really sweet! It's lovely when someone who really cares about you reveals something you thought they wouldn't remember from your childhood. My mum told me about a book I loved as a child last night and it was lovely! So sweet xxx

Strange twist here. I just took a closer look at AJ, and she is NOT the 2012 version, she is the 2011 version.

 Guess McDONALD'S is using their backstock!

When i had my collection up in the display kabinets my mom was over to visit me and when she saw skydancer she said, "This one you got from me when you was in the hospital and that one (blossom) you get from your grandma" I was so suprised she remember it!
