If I wanted to strip sloppily done factory paint off of plastic/vinyl, would Magic Eraser also work for that? Or would I need 100% acetone (kind of scared to use this)?

Alright, I feel ultra dumb. I see people on here rave about the magic eraser all the time. I got a two pack at the grocery store a couple of weeks ago.... but it has done absolutely nothing! Is there some sort of "trick" to make it work well?
