My first custom basic done :)

I had my first test pony done a few days ago and this is my first custom for myself which went smoothly :)
 
*note - I havent styled his hair.**
 
Inspired by the book Black Beauty. So its a basic design.
Original was G1 Lickety Split, a epically destroyed bait pony. Had tail rust, a funky hair cut, symbol was gone.

I plan on giving him simple waves.
 
Now with this pony (test pony) not sure what I'm going to do. Will probably not style the hair.

I kinda didnt use my remane tool either kinda temp lost it... xP I used the extra needles I cut and used a block to shove in the needle with the hair.. then after I finished her, I found the remane tool >_< Not coolie!
 
My test pony was my guiney pig for my first remane :) Inspired by a Alaskian forest night pic, that I found. My grandfather LOVED alaska, pine trees and blue. SO i mixed them together and my pony is the result ^_^
 
I think retailing is sooo easy :D I love the retailing part! I was at my dad's house as I was dehairing a few ponies (Black Beauty & 2 others) Then kinda forgot Mommy Apple Delights body in his sink.. she was gross!!

Thank you for the compliments on Black Beauty :) She's a personal favorite of mine :) I lvoe the book, I own a few copies of the book and the movie. Thats what got me to read the book. Im debating on making a Ginger to go with Black Beauty and a Merry Legs out of a baby :)

Both are great! I think Black Beauty's pose choice is perfect, it has a noble feel. And I have a soft spot for real horse customs. ^^

The other one is wonderful, I love the pine tree silhouettes and how the pony looks like a canvas painting. Lovely!
