Question for India Ink users
« on: February 24, 2012, 04:31:02 PM »
So for those of you who use India Ink, do you have problems when you use mod podge as a sealant? This is the second time I've used it on eyes and it has smeared both times. Am I doing something wrong? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I think the trick is to dab the sealer on, if you paint it on like normal it will smear. You could dab with a brush or possible a make up sponge.

Hmmm....I never thought of that. I will have to try it after I "fix" the smears. I'm so aggravated right now as they looked so nice before. Ugh.

India Ink requires many days of drying before you can do anything with it.  Also works best on a primed base.  Strait in vinyl it has a hard time adhering to the plastic.

Odd, I've never really had a problem with smearing, but then, I might not be sealing it til many days after lol. I can never remember, finishing customs often span many days for me XD  Good info to know, tho :)

Hmm.. I have india ink, but I never considered using it on a pony. What do people like to use it for exactly? Fine detail lines?
