I know some have said they like artistic interpretation, but my question is this: Are these going to be only painting the symbols of a pony to another, and is it supposed to be exactly like the favorite pony or can we add things to it? For example - If star hopper was one of my favorite ponies, could I put do the spaceship with sculpting and could I add beams coming from the ship or should it be exactly like Star Hoppers?

I don't know what anyone else has decided, but I decided to do it as though Hasbro decided to release it in that generation of pony. Assuming they didn't screw it up.
I think artist interpretations are cool though

I'm excited to get to work on mine. My partner listed a pony I love so I will really enjoy making her. Just waiting on the hair to come in. Finishing up some commissions in the meantime.

I know that for anyone who gets me, you can be as creative as you like. If you want to add to the symbol thats fine. Normally an earth pony but you want to do a Pegasus or earth pony? That's fine too. Have fun with it.

Who all likes/dislikes alternate hair on their ponies? I personally adore yarn as hair...

I tend to prefer regular mlp hair, personally. But I'm also okay with a more perfume-puff style, or mohair locks. I don't like just strands of yarn, or embroidery thread. I'm also okay with tinsel in moderation.

I love yarn because of all the different varieties and textures. I know that the yarn I chose for my husbands Steelers pony ended up making it look like a polamalu steelers pony which was not intentional at all.

I haven't decided if I'm a fan of yarn on ponies or not. I think it would depend on the type of yarn used, but I dont know. I can't stand tinsel either, but that is only because my cat absolutely adores the stuff I swear it is like a cat magnet...
 
Also, for anyone who gets me, I am perfectly fine with artistic interpretation I didn't think to mention that earlier.

I prefer only my little pony hair. I really dislike alternative hair, though this is something I am sure I put in my application.

i really really reallly like to brush the hair and style it... so i would prefer mlp hair... never thought of mohair for a pony... hrm.... ^_^ that would be so soft and nice!  i like that too i think!  i like yarn, but i crochet and knit stuffed animals and sell them for a job, so maybe im just sick of yarn! LOL

Mohair ponies are sooooo soft and petable. I've done a few and always spend about 5 minutes petting their hair before I have to pack them up for shipping.
