I find that though the dolls usually ship free with purchases over $25.00 it's actually cheaper and faster to just buy the doll and pay shipping...least by $.50 ^_^

I usually go through Amazon (I have a dolls wishlist there that I check multiple times a day cause you never know) but have randomly had good luck with the Wal-Mart site and do the ship to store option..which is slow as all heck but hey it does get there. Target site never turns up anything for me, but I have had one dose of luck in the store.

I really hate the prices on TRU and AD...at those prices they might as well be legitimate scalpers, no thanks.

Has anyone re-dressed their Operetta? I want to see how she looks in outfits other than her stock! :lovey:

I know someone around here has posted photos of her in a purple strapless dress.
My girl is MOSTLY in her stock - but i wanted to give her something strapless to show off the scars/tattoos
she is in a black, sparkly Bratz top:

Wow! That looks amazing on Gil. I'm gonna have to keep an eye open for that fashion set. Though I think my Gil is going to hang around shirtless a lot of the time. X3

And very cute top on Operetta! The conundrum of her, how awesome her stock is, versus the drive to display her gorgeous scars! One more reason I can't wait for more variations of her. :3

Really, the majority of my dolls have come from in-store purchases. I don't like paying shipping, and I like picking them out myself.

This.

I do not like to order my dolls online because I am super picky and go over every little detail about a doll before I will buy them. The few times I have purchased a doll online I have gotten lucky and the dolls I got had no flaws whatsoever...but that may be because I bought them from another collector. So I say if you are going to buy online your best bet would be to buy from other collectors or if you can snag a doll off of Amazon they are not bad on shipping costs and if you are a member shipping is free no matter how big the order.

As for other sites.....I have no idea how good or bad shipping is because, as I said, I try not to order online. But I can't imagine shipping would be too steep if you ordered from places like TRU or Target, plus some items have in store pick-up so there might not be any shipping charge at all.

Bah...that really wasn't much help was it? ^^;

I find it easier to shop for dolls online that's when they are available that is. Since i can not drive a car do to my vision its hard to go checking stores constantly hunting for dolls and when i finally go to the stores its usually depressing to find nothing.

Thanks. I like your Lagoona's yellow dress. I'm dying to get some dresses in yellow. It's my favorite color.

This as well.

As much as I wanted the new dolls that come/came out, most of my findings were in-store. More reliable to go in-store and check for the doll itself as well as their makeup. The only time I ordered online was through here and I saw no flaw on her, so best to order from fellow collectors!

Any Monster Hunters in the Lower Mainland, BC, looking for Cupid - Walmart on Boyd St, New Westminster (by Queensborough Bridge) has at least five on shelf, and a sealed crate marked 'Cupid 1600' at the end of the doll isle. :D (Also, the one I picked up rang through at $22-ish with tax! Whoot!)

I put her in a black dress with some of her stock pieces. I think she looks much nicer this way. :)

Thank you! I have a big photoshoot coming up tomorrow. 1600 Clawd and Clawdeen, tons of new dresses to be modeled, and Frankie dressed in homage to the new Venus!

P.S. I'm getting the Draculaura and Clawd set, and I'll be selling Draculaura sans clothes and accesories. Anyone want first dibs? I'll probably sell her in a handmade dress...
