Papillon does mean butterfly in french I wanted to combine the butterfly and lace theme into the name but didn't like Butterfly Lace, so went searching for words that meant butterfly and loved the way Papillon Lace sounded.
The dog breed gets its name because the ears look like butterflies

I have soooo much to say I'm not even sure where to start!

OK, I'll start by saying a big THANK YOU to POD! I absolutely adore her! I knew the package was from you the minute the postman mentioned it had come all the way from Australia and my hands were literally shaking as I opened the package.
I know people will often say "the photos don't due her justice" but in this case I can promise that statement is 100% without a doubt true.

Pose selection - one of my all time faves...I couldn't be more pleased.

The repose - beyond perfect! Let me assure all of you that the repositioning of the legs is completely undetectable. Also, I forgot she even had a jewel symbol to start with because the surface is so perfectly smooth. 

The airbrushing - EXQUISITE!  The lace pattern is so delicate and subtle. I adore her soft coloring. I especially love the way the tan coloring give her an almost antiqued look.

The paintwork - Perfection! Each butterfly is beautifully detailed and completely unique. The eyes are so beautiful...the way the lashes are highlighted makes it look as though each one were carefully outlined with a rich, chocolatey brown. I'm also loving the striations in her irises, it looks like you used all the butterfly colors.

The ladybug - I can't believe you sculpted her! Until I read your description I thought maybe you had purchased it or gotten it from a piece of jewelry. Soooo tiny and perfect!

Hair is gorgeous - I adore Saran...and the gems are perfect, just the right amount.

I truly LOVE her and I couldn't imagine receiving a more perfect Love Swap pony!

I did actually use the colours of the butterflies for the striations in her eyes - I'm thrilled you noticed! Also, very glad about the sparkly gems!! I seriously thought I'd gone way overboard with them.... so knowing its just enough is a wonderful feeling I am very, VERY glad she has thrilled you - you do the most amazing customs, and I adore the piece you made for me, so it was such a pleasure to make something gorgeous for you
