European counterpart for Apoxy Sculpt?
« on: February 16, 2012, 05:08:21 AM »
Hi all, I've seen some amazing sculpted customs with this so-called Apoxy stuff. I'm guessing it's a product limited to the US market. What would be the European brand of such durable sculpting material like Apoxy? I've tried the standard clay from toy stores once, but it's way too fragile.

Not at all. I'm in the uk and I get apoxie sculpt. The postage is expensive though. I hear Milliput is a good alternative in europe though. And it's slightly less expensive:)

I order it over ebay or amazon. Shipping costs are about 5 Euro but that's okay for me. :) I didn't find a good alternative in Germany yet.

I use Milliput. Available at Hobbycraft about £8 a box. It's quite dry and cures pretty quickly but you can work it with water like clay to help. Only started recently but I already love it.

Milliput's available for £10 at my local Hobbycraft, but not even £8 would be that cheap. My university art shop affords to sell it at £3.50 a box.

Milliput is best and really highly recommend Amazon and Ebay as they do a lot cheaper than some prices quoted here and also bulk orders.

Having used both Apoxy Sculpt and Milliputt, I much prefer Apoxy. I think that it's easier to work with and personally I get much better results. I got mine from Ebay, don't think that it was unreasonable at all.
