New Tutorial Video Airbrushing a Custom Pony
« on: February 16, 2012, 12:19:04 AM »
I finally got around to making my most requested custom video.  Airbrushing a pony.
It's a little short, and a little rambly, but it gets the job done. ;)

Thank you so much for doing the video! Can you tell me the best way to clean it if I have used acrylics in it?

I usually run some cleaner thru it as soon as I'm done painting.  I also take it apart, and clean it out just so I don't get tons of paint clogging up the tip.  I did some google searches for tutorials on taking apart my specific airbrush.

Thanks for the vid! I've had an airbrush sitting in the corner since Christmas! :(
Just wondering, is it okay to use acrylics in them? :S

Yes, that's all I use in mine.  I have some Createx acrylics that are specifically for airbrushes, so I don't have to thin them out.  I use other acrylics in it (like folk art and Delta Ceramcoat) I just thin them out so they flow thru my gun.

Because I got thin enamel? paint (I can't remember what it was called) and thinned it out... and I litterally got nothing out of it, just watery gunk! haha so I was wondering! :) Thanks

Enamels won't work on ponies, for some reason they never dry correctly.  They always end up making the pony sticky.  Acrylics all the way.

Oh Okie, I love your videos, and watching this one I just thought... bless your heart. Who are these people who think an airbrush is a kind of paint brush? XD You get all the fun ones!

Thank you! I've been interested in learning how to airbrush for a while now. Where is it cheapest to get an airbrush and air compressor system?
