These customs died in a fire
« on: February 14, 2012, 09:40:33 PM »
This is such a goofy post, but our old apartment complex (we moved out of just 2 months ago) burnt down to the ground last night from a fire that started in the boutique down stairs where I used to sell my customs when we lived there...

(moar coverage here http://mlparena.com/mlp/index.php/topic,287406.msg60837.html#msg60837 )

when we moved, I left 2 customs the store owner liked best, in her shop. So naturally, they died in the fire.

Please, take a moment to mourn the deaths of ff9 General Beatrix, and the heroin from the SNES game, Sword of Mana.

You guys will be missed! (Yet replaced with more accurately detailed newer versions...)

Good bye... Mana....

A minute of silence for the fallen soldiers.

Poor customs!  I'm sorry Mana, thanks God you went away from that place before this fire!

That's a horrible fate. Blessings to the fallen ponys.
I'm glad that you didn't lost any other of your things in the fire and really hope nobody has been hurt.

I guess what hurts most about this, is our land lord originally asked us if we planned on moving within the next 6 months. We were originally suppose to move out of that building, this spring. A few days after she asked us that, she gave us the 90 day notice that our apartment would no longer be available for rent because she wanted it back to live in... so our original deadline was January 31st but we got out of there a.s.a.p. instead of waiting the 90 days.

Everyone who was in that building is okay, though. They all got out, uninjured...

On topic though, I just realized that the pose the Sword of Mana custom is in, I have it in the g3 styling-sized pose.

I will remake her at some point, as a tribute to what happened. I have a styling-sized base set aside, that I was originally going to make as a "logo mascot" custom design for that boutique that burned down... but the Mana tree maiden... I think will be the occupant of that styling bait... (and yes, that is where my online username came from...)

And Beatrix, I have so many of that pose, and I feel that is "Beatrix's pony pose". She'll be replica'd...

....I still have the Curious Betty Boutique business card on my fridge, with the picture of the shop where I used to sit in the alcove in the front of it and wait for my daughter's school bus...

I just... this is hard to take in
