Anyone in Michigan interested in a meet?

Just wondering if any other Michigan people would like to get together for a meet. I live in southeast Michigan. My husband and I own a gaming store, so I have the room to host one!  We have a group that comes to our store every Saturday morning to watch FiM and they would love for me to have a meet there! (well I would love a meet there too lol)  Just let me know if you are interested!

I am in Grand Rapids and I WOULD LOVE to go to a meet! We talked about it last year, but no one could host. There are a TON of MI ponies here! Where is SE MI? I'd love to go to your store sometime!

Sounds great! My store is in Macomb County, Clinton Township to be exact. www.gamersgauntlet.net. I was thinking sometime in the spring so that anyone travelling far wouldn't have to worry about snow. I have never been to a meet before, so I am not exactly sure what goes on at them. I do have some ideas but not sure if they are dumb or not lol.

Mermaid: GR where? I live in Dorr but I got to GR five days a week for work!!

Yeah, there was a post six months to a year ago on the old board about an MI meet. It might have been before the big FIM explosion, so there were fewer people. We hemmed and hawed about where and when but never settled on a time and place. I think most of us had a money/gas/time problem, too.

Ohhh!!!  I want to soooo bad!  We live in Virginia now, but my husband is from Spring Arbor and we both went to Albion for college.  If by some small chance you hold it while we're there visiting family we'll totally come!  We'll be there for a week in June, but what are the chances!

I'd love to come! I'm from Kalamazoo, btw, in Southwest Michigan. If there were other SW ponies who want to come, I would gladly volunteer my car and driving skills to get us over to the other side of the state! (I can take four people, plus me in the driver's seat.)

June sounds good to me too!! I will get a list of dates for what we have open. I think a magic the gathering prerelease is in june, so we couldn't have it that day. The store would be too packed lol! We have over 5,000 sq ft of space so we can fit a lot of people, but I would like it to just be a pony day. If any Saturdays in June are better for people, let me know! After we pick a date we can put together all of the details. I am going to make a craigslist posting about it to see if there are any other pony lovers in the area that would like to come.

Yay!!!  I'll plan our trip home for that week, if I can!  We'll even stay an extra day!  We usually drive home on Saturday!  I sooo hope this works out!    My husband is limited as to when he can take days off because of the nature of his work.  I'll let you know which weeks look likely for him to get the ok!
