So... hey. I'm 27, just finished law school and am now desperately seeking employment.
I live in the Woodlands, which is just north of Houston, and I spent this morning stuffed into a tiny powder room with one dog and five angry cats thanks to the
lovely weather we've been having. (Only three of them are mine! I'm not quite a crazy cat lady.. yet.)
I have a bit of a chip on my shoulder because when we were little, my sister and I had a HUGE MLP collection, and in one of our many moves, my mother thoughtfully donated them all to charity.
Literally the only pony I have from my childhood is one little mommy charm. It particularly pains me because one of my earliest memories is of playing with ponies with the little girl who lived across the street.. sigh.
I started sort of "getting back into" ponies when the G3 collection came out (along with my equally nostalgic friends), but due to space limitations (I collect a
lot of things already) I only gathered ten or so and then declared a moratorium on pony purchases. And then FiM had to come out and ruin everything, and with the recent release of the blind bags in the US, I've decided to poke my nose back into the pony scene and do a little collecting and reminiscing. I just need to figure out a way to make more room on my shelves..
I love animation, having been practically raised by the Disney Afternoon block (OMG is anyone else reading the new comics? Darkwing Duck and Rescue Rangers!!), and I'm also a big Harry Potter fan and consider Jurassic Park the greatest movie ever made (and the books are also favourites, but we do not speak of the film sequels). And I frequently find myself annoyed with brony culture.
(Oh, ~suddenly~ MLP is cool because it's no longer "for girls"? There are no words.)
So, that's me in a nutshell. A very verbose nutshell.
