What a lovely story! I need to tell my husband, I just started to collect and I've put some ponies on display and given some to my niece but there's a box of beaten up ponies that need sorting out hidden in my sons bedroom!

It brought back memories of when I first started collecting and how ashamed I felt about it.  I always wondered how people would react when they found out that I collected toys. I started collecting when I was about 18 and as I got older I became less concerned with what people thought about it.  Luckily my husband, who was my boyfriend at the time, was very accepting of my hobby. I even got him into toy collecting, too!  My parents were never really accepting of my hobby.  Although, my mom did buy me a Grumpy Bear in the box at an auction she went to!  That really surprised me!  Occasionally I still get remarks about my collection from them as it is proudly displayed in my living room
