I'd advise having more than just skitty in the party if you can to infect future transmitters of the pokerus. Although you also have to be kinda careful with it, I find...if they have the pokerus and battle the wrong types of pokemon too often it can skew their stats. I don't care about pokestats so I didn't really care much about this but I have heard people ranting about it on forums so just thought I'd pass it on.

I haven't played ORAS in ages but the wondertrade is also a good way to get freshly infected pokerus pokemon if you run out.

Oh ok, I just use the pokerus because it's supposed to make the stats go up faster. 

I did manage to get it to spread!  Just took a few more tries!

Hubby was gonna get me a new ds (im still rockin 2ds cause im pokr lol) for my bday but then my brakes went bad and had to drop 200 on it, making rent late... so all well, maybe christmas. =) til then ill be following this closely and scratching my head in confusion... infected? Ooh, and to get original pokemon over, do you have to have beaten the game? Think i read something like that somewhere. Need my eevees and vulpix and almighty Magikarp (splash splash!)

Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire are wide open to allowing Pokémon from other games in as early as when you get the Pokédex. At that point, you can use Pokémon Bank to insert 'mons into your PC boxes. Heck, I had a full Eeveelution team my first play through Alpha Sapphire, as I'd bred them ahead of time in X and Y.

Got a Japan Ditto, hoping this does eventually work!

(Breeding with a foreign pokemon does increase the chances, right?)

Yes, Wyst, you're referring to the Masuda Method, using a foreign language Pokémon as a breeder to increase odds of shiny offspring. IIRC, that'll bring your odds down to something like one in a thousand. I've gotten a few shiny Eevee hatches that way in my periodic fits of breeding Eevees.

Hey wystearya, getting a shiny charm (which you get by completing the pokedex) will also increase your chances

(I have really lousy luck when it comes to shinies, but I'm breeding a shiny 6IV skrelp on my X card)

I have had to take a break.  With the holidays coming up I don't have time to sit and breed and hatch eggs.  But I will pick it back up once things settle back down!

Yup. My husband and I were able to get a Hoopa for each of our games, and we did it all without having to step inside a McDonald's. We just sat in the car in the parking lot at one and we were able to connect to the wifi.

I got one for my Y game. We had to go to three different McDonald's before we found one that was participating, though.
