One of my grails, and I set my alarm for the middle of the night to get up and bid, but in my half-asleepness I just went back to sleep.  This is what I missed out on...

It went for $134 US.  I'm so sad right now.  If anyone can help me find one, I'd be so appreciative!!!

(Would be happy with Baby Fleecy/ Woolly or Baby Stripes/Nectar instead too.  Gah, can't believe it.)

Definitely use a snipe service next time!  That way you are still limited to the max you are willing to pay- but don't "bid up" the price if there is a bidding war.

I use auctionstealer.com if there is something I can't live without...

The way I always try to think of it when I forget to put in a last min bid and lose an auction is that: I can assume I would have won because it went for less than my max and torture myself over it- OR I can assume that who ever did win actually had a higher max bid than I would have been willing to pay anyhow, so they just got it for less but would have won it either way.
In fact, its probably true most of the time.

Also, maybe now I'll use AuctionStealer....though it doesnt feel quite right to me to do. Perhaps only for those items I cant live with out ;P

Yup - I use a snipe program as well, though not very frequently.  Only if it's a "must have" item.  I use snip.pl  (<---actual website address)
