Scans of G3 locations and maps?
« on: July 12, 2015, 09:25:39 PM »
I've seen that big map of G3 Ponyville and I'd love to have the image for myself.  I was also wondering if there were maps of Butterfly Island or any other G3 locations.  If not that, some official pictures of individual locations would be cool!  I don't see a lot of G3 stuff in general, so I'll take anything!

That'd would come in extremely handy for my fanfictions as well. As for now, all I have is this overview shot of Butterfly Island.

Do you perhaps mean this early concept art of Ponyville?

I wouldn't consider it very accurate -- I mean, "Sweatberry"? Come on. -- but you can still make out Celebration Castle, Cotton Candy Cafe, etc. as well as things that didn't make the cut, like a treehouse and amphitheater. Butterfly Island was just a twinkle in Hasbro's eye at this point.

Ah, that's what I was thinking of!  I just rather liked it even if its really early concept stuff.  I also like that overheadshot of Butterfly Island! Lore-Lei has!  I'm surprised they didn't release any location pictures outside of this stuff, it seems like it would be in a G3 book or something.

There might very well be more/better/different maps in the G3 Annuals, but I don't have access to those. :)
