Hello everyone I'm new to this forum, I basically loved MLP on and off in my entire life I was collecting g3 my little ponies hardcore as a child I had over 60 ponies (this might seem not a lot to some fans/collectors but it sure was a lot to me back then haha) I had a lot of playsets (including the Celebration Castle and the Butterfly Island). I was also collecting dvds, books, ...magazines and basically anything i could get my hands on. Now my love came back for it because of the FIM series, which is beautifully done! (finally some ponies that you can tell apart, I love how unique each character is.)

And also I recently i got somewhat interested in g1 ponies. Even though i'll probably never get to own one of them, I really enjoy looking through photos online. They are so damn pretty.

60 ponies was definitely an awesome collection!!!  And i'm sure you will find plenty of reasonably priced G1's that will be willing to join your herd.  Hope you have an amazing time on this forum

Thank you everyone for your replies! This place already feels very... welcome-ing (I dunno if that's a real word but yeah you get what I mean haha)

Growing up as a boy loving MLP toys I always felt alone on that and I couldn't share my interest with a lot of people (except my sister and some other female friends I had back then) plus the fact that I had to hide that most of the time wasn't very good either....

Yes I still have some some gen3 ponies. (I gave away quite a lot of them to my little cousin though... ah.. at least they'll get more love from another loving person now haha... I do hope to rebuy some of those though).

I love the photo of you childhood ponies. I also was a G3 fan to G4 fan and discovered older gens. There's a lot of G1 out there, you might have luck at a secondhand shop or garage sale. Enjoy the forums!

Welcome to the Arena.  That is awesome you still have some of your childhood ponies and no worries, we have quite a few male collectors around.

Welcome! FiM has brought a lot of people to collecting or back to collecting, so you're in good company there! My childhood ponies were G1, and G3 is what originally got me back.

Don't totally count G1 out for yourself! It's not impossible to still find them "in the wild," as they say, and they can also be found on Craigslist and on auction sites (although I've not been lucky with my local CL, unfortunately).
