Pony Party Ideas

Because my almost 5 - year-old niece is adorable,  she wants a My Little Pony birthday party.   I know my sister has been looking for stuff already (who doesn't love Pinterest for that?) but most of what she's found is g4 related.   My little Peanut looooooves g1 ponies though. 

Has anyone else come up with ideas for this (especially with decorating)?  Are there any websites with good printables and that sort of thing I can forward on to my sister?

Well, I had an MLP-themed birthday party when I was a kid and G3 was out. I remember there was a lot of pink... and some store-bought G3 stuff... But as far as decorating goes, we made a giant rainbow out of cardboard and streamers and wrote "Welcome to Dream Valley" on it, and using the same method we made a G1 Glory and taped her to the wall. I might have pictures laying around here somewhere? But I hope my feeble explanation helps you...

Oooh! There was a post with some ideas recently but I cant find it.

When I was a kid my mom made favors from the pattern for G1 stuffed ornaments. She also traced the bottom of the standing pony Wilton cake pan and made a sign and placemats for guests

You could whip up pony manes/tiaras and tails pretty fast out of yarn for a costume activity. 
Bobbing for apples or some variation

You could have a pony themed art table....you can get free printable G1 colouring pages off the internet
