Have you checked out the Dis?

http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=37

I have a good size collection of pins, but I've never been able to trade any. The last time I was in a Disney park was 1988! But from what I've read on the Dis there are some pins that can't be traded. And I mean pins besides the bootlegs/scrappers. Sorry, it was a long time ago that I read it so I'm foggy on the details.

Ive had a few growing up since I lived near Disney World, you could buy them in nearbygas stations as well. I wish I could have collected more of these! This thread is making me want to look around on ebay! xD

Pin Trading used to be some of the highlights of our Disney trips when my family and I went to Disney. Now it's less so but I still try and get a pin for my dad when we're there.

When I was little there was a parade at MGM Studios that had a bunch of classic cars with Disney themes, and one was a shell car with Ariel, which of course I got a pin of. I didn't see it being sold again until 10 years later and in the that time I got so many compliments on it. I also have an Alice in Wonderland pin where it's one of the original theatrical release posters while Alice's head is in the classic pin style while the rest is printed. That one is probably my favorite. :accomplished:

i love trading pins!! we should have a trading pin swap, or just a thread for trading pins, like the bait trade thread etc.

I have a lot of Disney pins. The majority of them I have bought in the parks, and some I have traded for in the park as well. I have a fairly large amount of them, but the only ones I have uploaded are my Little Mermaid ones (and even these pics are out of date).

Oh, toyjunky, I love your Mermaid pins!

My eBay pins arrived today.  I ordered 47 (lol, my goal was to stay under $20) and he sent me 50!

Now, I do have four confirmed scrappers (and one "maybe") out of the 38 I've identified so far.  The good thing is that I really like the ones that are scrappers and plan to keep them :)

I have quite a few with characters that I don't have any emotional ties to (Club Penguin?), so I think I'll try selling a handful of pins on eBay to see if I can get another $20 and then buy more pins from the guy I just bought from, LOL!

To start things off, I figured out which pin I don't want and listed them on eBay.

Next:  I'm about to dive into the "Rubbermaid Bin of Memories" at the bottom of my closet to pull out any pins I have hiding in there.

After that: I am going to find some way to organize/display them.  Stay tuned for pictures!
