MIB Pony Question
« on: December 02, 2014, 11:06:18 AM »
I was thinking, are there any ponies that no one has MIB/MOC/MIP?  Like, maybe they exist, but they're shoved in someone's attic or basement or something and no one knows about them?  Or are all of them present and accounted for in terms of being MIB at least somewhere?  I'm assuming that for non-Nirvanas there are at least a couple (if not many, in terms of MIB anyway, in the case of some) floating around for each pony even if they are rare, but who knows.

I don't know if this is a silly question, but I've been wondering about it lately

I think there is at least one of every USA/UK released pony MIB somewhere in the community.

Some of the Nirvanas are probably impossible to find MIB/MOC/MIP...

  ...and the few that are MIB/MOC are destroyed from water damage (or something)

Fireball, Lightning and Thundercloud. In archived threads on the same topic, no one ever said they had them MOC or knew for certain that someone did. If someone has them, or photos... I definitely want to see. :)

I have seen a MOC Thundercloud :) And I had a Thundercloud who fell off his card as well :( He was already very very loose and his sticker had fallen out so he was a token-kind-of MOC.

If we are talking main release US and the main Euro releases, I have owned, seen or known someone who has owned all of them at some point. I agree Nirvanas are a whole other story of course, there are plenty of them we have never seen MOC/MIB in any way. But the main HK/China releases, all of them have surfaced at some point.

I have heard that there was someone who had all the Mountain Boys MOC, but never saw the picture evidence, so not 100% sure and no idea where they are now if she did :( I think I've seen an MOC Thundercloud as well, but apparently didn't save a picture :(

Not seen an MOC Fireball since 1988 or so though... he is the one I would most love to see one day :lovey: Hopefully when I'm rich enough to buy him, lol!

I'd aim my gaze at the Nirvana world too. There are soooo many loose ponies that are considered OOAK at the moment so to find their MIP counterparts seems like a one in a billion chance. :)

I'm pretty sure MOC South African ponies are mostly non-existent or very rare. There was one member that had grown up in SA who could remember the ponies MOC from their childhood and I think they might have had an old photo of one MOC. This was a good four or five years ago, now, so my memory is probably way off.

Edit: I believe the MOC pony in question was SA Applejack.
